Eight points decide whether a plan is realistic
- Write the exact spelling and check it against the 30 character rule.
- Note why the name is yours: a mark, a past account, your own name or brand.
- Name the route that could fit.
- Look at the holder’s public profile only.
- Decide how much the handle is worth to you.
- List two fallbacks you would accept.
- Confirm you will never share a password or code.
- Choose how you want to be contacted.
A real link to the name is the core
Without a mark, a past account or an impersonation, there is usually no route. A strong wish for the handle does not count as evidence.
Set a limit on what you will spend
Because Instagram decides, you may spend time or a fee and still not get the handle. Choose a limit before you start.
Do not pressure the holder
Repeated messages and mass reports are not part of any route and can make a holder dig in. Public observation is enough.
Keep your own account out of it
No genuine process needs your login. Anyone asking for it is not working through Instagram’s official routes.
