Short and rare Snapchat usernames

Short answer: Snapchat usernames are 3 to 15 characters, first-come, first-served and generally not transferable. A mark in a username is not a violation by itself, and the owner has to show commercial use that suggests an affiliation.

Three characters is the floor

Usernames are 3 to 15 characters, using Latin letters, numbers and one hyphen, underscore or period. They start with a letter and end with a letter or number.

First-come, first-served

Snapchat says usernames are first-come, first-served and generally not transferable.

A mark needs commercial use

A trademark in a username does not automatically violate policy. Snapchat looks for commercial use that suggests an affiliation, such as Story content or commercial chats or Snaps.

If there is no evidence

Snapchat says to choose a different username. See the OG Snapchat claim page.
