Someone took my OG handle. Is there any way back?

Short answer: If the short handle was on your account and is now on someone else's, it left through a rename, a hack or a disabled account. Find out which, because the fix differs. If the name was never yours, length or age is not a claim reason, and only an impersonation or trademark route can fit.
